Winter has come on Cavaleiro Farm, however the snow hasn’t completely stopped us from grazing the sheep yet. Discovered an autumn olive tree on the way graze today and got a chance to save some seeds before the birds got all of them.
Haven’t figured out which species I am looking at, however there is some common family properties to this tree. This tree has the ability to fix nitrogen from the air and add it to the soil, because of this its able to grow in poor soil conditions. A great addition to pasture boarders, the tree provides lots of food for birds, and also us! The berries are quit sweet and delicious loaded with vitamins.
